VS1 Diamond Clarity Grade guide

The Diamond Clarity Basics
Diamonds are considered as the most expensive and valuable gems nowadays. Their quality depends on how clear and pure are they. Diamond clarity is one of the four important parameters which have been used to check and assess its quality.

The Diamond Clarity Grading
The diamond clarity grading system has a chart that distinctively identifies the clarity qualities of diamonds. The chart has different grading grades that can be used to grade each diamond. Diamonds having the most flawless characteristics (or having no inclusions and/or blemishes seen at all) are the most rare and expensive.

The VS1 Diamond Clarity
The VS1 (Very Slightly Included 1) diamond clarity grade is one of the grades in the clarity chart which describes diamonds having small inclusions seen using a ten times (10x) magnification and no inclusions seen at all through naked eye.

VS1 diamonds are considered a right choice for shoppers who need to buy diamonds with good clarity grade or at least no flaws may be seen at all. Its price totally not too expensive compared to those higher clarity grades such as FL, IF, and VVS diamonds.

The VS1 Diamond Certifications
There are many gem laboratories that give standard checking for diamonds. Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and American Gem Society (AGS) are the most accurate and efficient diamond clarity graders. These two laboratories are widely and commercially known as diamond experts.

VS1 Diamond Buying Guide
It is advisable to check equivalent diamond clarity certifications. Certified diamonds authenticate its quality and value. When buying online, make sure that the website is displaying actual pictures of diamonds as well as its magnified pictures (20x-40x) to see the real image of the diamond. When at the store, ask to check the diamonds personally with 10x magnifying loupe.

VS1 diamonds have small inclusions and that is why checking with the use of magnification could ease the problem of confusion whether it is really a VS1 grade equivalent or not.
